Request deletion
Last updated 31 August 2026
This page lets you delete your Storybook sync data without needing the app. The records on your phones are not held by us and cannot be deleted from here — see "Important" below.
What deletion removes
Deleting a sync library removes, permanently: the library itself, every encrypted batch it holds, and every paired device record. It does not remove anything from phones that already synced (their copies are theirs), and it does not by itself cancel a subscription — cancel in Google Play or the App Store.
How to request it
- Email dujar.coding@gmail.com with the subject "Storybook deletion request".
- Include one of the following so we can find your library:
- the order number of a subscription payment (it starts with
GPA.for Google Play, or is in your App Store receipt email), or - the device names you entered when pairing your phones (for example "Sarah's iPhone"), together with the approximate date you enabled sync.
- the order number of a subscription payment (it starts with
- We may reply asking you to confirm from the subscription account that made the purchase. This is to stop one family member deleting another's data unasked.
We action verified requests within 30 days, normally within two business days, and confirm by reply when it is done.
If you still have the app
The fastest path is in the app itself: Settings → Sync → Delete from the sync service. It does the same deletion immediately, no email needed.
Important. Deletion of sync data is permanent and cannot be undone. If you might want your records on a new phone later, open the app on a phone that has them and let it finish syncing before you ask us to delete — or export a copy first. And as ever: if you lose every device and your recovery kit, deletion or not, nobody can recover those records.
